About this Tour

The Paiva Walkways, built entirely in wood, are part of a sustainable project on the left bank of the Paiva River. These walkways are part of the Arouca Geopark, classified as a Geological Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since 2015, where contact with nature is one of the main reasons for the visit.

In this place, there is also a novelty – the largest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world, Ponte 516 Arouca. This work has a length of 516m (1,692ft), is 1.20m (3ft) wide, at a height of 175m (576ft) from the Paiva River. It was built for those looking for the best natural landscapes, but also for those looking for some adventure!
